Yup, Russia.

I was walking home, and saw a Euro 2008 poster with Torres in his superman pose circa WC '06, and "La Furia Roja" written on it.

And I smiled. There a really long way to go yet, but sure as hell couldn't have asked for a more promising start.

I hope that the 24 hr time off, family break or R & R and some humble pie, has put our boys in good spirits. Sweden is not going to be an easy game. We do know each other from the qualfiers, but still we need to stay focused and work as a team. El Niño just needs to relax.

Cant happen mate, Holland would play Spain in the Semis but it would be a hell of a game. Torres is pissed and Aragones said he doesnt want pre-madonas on the team. hmm... hopefully this blows over soon.

Fantastic performance, amigos! My compliments. I'd love to see Germany, Portugal, Spain and Holland as the final four nations... And then a Spain - Holland finals.

Whoa... :-)

Puyol and marchena though i love them to death arent as fast as they used to be.. that said they are still both great players and Ramos man he's good. No wonder Madrid play so well in the back.. he's an allstar.

Our midfeild is the best on earth bar none and Villa few are as good a sniper as him.. he simply wanted to get goals you could see how hungry he is for the net.. he was always rushing the net.. Torres also.. brilliant speed. Our counter attack was phot perfect.. Iniesta and silva had brilliant passing.. thats what we need feed those forwards on the counter and watch these two super stars blast them and humble the opposition goal keepers.

Gusy we need to keep this up.. drop egoes bring Spain some glory and add a title to your names. Players need to win cups or they fade.. Nobody fades after winning teh Euro.

everyone thought that netherlands put on an offensive clinic... no way spains offense against russia was amazing... defense... yikes that worries me... some sloppy play... i dont think group c or germany will provide those kinda opportunities to be able to compensate poor defense with goals.

You know Cesar, I kinda feel the same. This is a different Spain. We just need to take one game at a time, one day at a time. The press needs to control themselves. Players will be marking El Guaje alot closer. The gaps in the back need to be addressed. Bottom line, the beautiful game played by Spain is good for the world's game.
