To The Final!!!
What more really needs to be said?
You want a game preview? Head over to Phil Ball’s excellent article or the Guardian.
I’m too nervous to write anything significant about this game, the previous games or anything else related to football … my hands are shaking, my stomach is tight, I’m sweating profusely at my desk while I’m supposed to be ‘working’ … you want to know what I’m really doing? Checking the news on Marca, trying to calm myself down, wondering how it’ll feel to see Spain in a major final for the first time in decades …
All I know is that tonight, Spain makes it to the Euro 2008 Final.
I hope …

OH MY GOD! VIVA ESPANA! VIVA ESPANA! VIVA ESPANA!
We did it! We’re in the finals! Can we win it all?! GO ESPANA!!!

that was a dreadful first half. all the hype and it was a dud. the second was not much better. the russians played a suicide game as soon as spain went up by one and left holes everywhere. if the russians dont attack, they dont win games. their defence is extremely defficient.

i will say that it will be a good final, at least on paper. good luck to you guys.

Holy crap! We did it! After years and years of suffering and pain. We finally made it to a European final. Silva was sublime, Cesc was fantastic, Xavi started the ball rolling, and Iniesta was impressive. Yes our minis in the middle field came thru!
Sergio Ramos kept his head, Puyol and Marchena were immense and Guiza with the cucchio well nice!
Man I was nervous! But Spain played their game, controlled the midfield, the pace, and possession and we won! Incredible!
Kudos to the Old Man and La Roja! I am sorry if I sound a little, well buzzed, but I needed the two glasses of wine.
Aupa España! One more game! It will be an uphill battle vs the always methodic, always intense Germans.
Vamanos!

Respect to your team, guys. Our team played bad and scored nothing. It is so sad to look at such a helpless and hopeless football our Russian team shown. Spain was better at all sides. F~uck.

And German will be beaten easily. With such strong game, it easy.

VAMOS ESPAÑA!!!! CON DOS KINDERS!!
Wow, I can’t even believe it. All I’ve been getting is calls from my friends in Spain saying how hyped up they are and how the country is going nuts. Too bad I’m not over there for another few weeks!!
A POR ELLOS, OE!!

This guy l a m a g i c a is an utmost nut who has been infecting various other blogs.
You should have read* what he has excreted there, compared to that this here is harmless. A uprooted spaghetti nut in the new world, thinking he can connect with the real world.
*Correction: No, you should not. Not worth it.
Maybe the Mafia does aawy with him. Or any of those other italian clubs.
By the way: RESPECT AND CONGRATULATIONS, ESPANIA !
Either we ( Germany ) will defeat you or lose – in which latter case there would be no disgrace. Tonight I saw the most convincing performance of any team in this contest yet.

AUPA ESPANA!!! Sad about Villa’s injury, but marvelous play by the “golden” Furia Roja today. Magnificent stuff. As awful as the defence is purported to be, isn’t it something that Casillas has had little to do against Italy and Russia? On to Germany on Sunday, do u guys think Guiza will be given the nod to start or Cesc?

Does he really not understand that the site administrators can see his IP address?
Y felicidades a España!

INCREIBLE!!!! VIVA LA FURIA ROJA!!!!!!!!!!! Didn’t know if I’d ever live to see this day, granted, I’m still quite young. But you know what I mean. I, like most of you guys, wanted to get outta work for the game. I had a plan–my awesome coworker and supervisor said we’d sneak out under the pretense of an “external meeting” and watch the game. But it didn’t work out, so I taped it. I was freakin out all day at work. Turned my phone off and didn’t check my email in fear of receiving an update on the score. Then, when I was leaving work, I saw four Russian looking guys clapping and cheering on the street. However irrational, I thought they had won, so I was skeptical throughout the game. How wrong I was. I still can’t believe it. Lovin it. Sorry about the long story. Overwhelmed with joy. Almost there. AUPA ESPANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, in the midst of being on cloud nine, I forgot to offer my thoughts and insight on the game. I’ll be brief. Senna and Ramos were the match mvps for me. Ramos was good coming from the back and Senna was as strong as iron in the back. Arshavin who? He got owned by Senna! I was freakin out when el guaje got injured. He better play in the final. We’re lucky, our squad is just deep. On what other squad would Cesc sit on the bench?

I think fabreagas is a better option then guiza.
If we play the 4-5-1 and when we are leading (if) bring in Alonso
so we have 2 defending mids and really good long shooters.
Guiza was good today but I think our midfield proved that they can score just as easly as Villa or Torres. I also think Torres should be given the whole game to prove himself. I think he can bounce back into the tornament. 1 goal for him is not enough. It’s very sad about Villa. Do you think Aragones migh be bluffing?! That would be cool and smart. The other team would plan how to counter a 4-5-1 but then Villa comes back!
What do you think?

PS Lets not spoil the moment of victory by arguing with the angry losers.
Don’t hate the players hate the game.

ohhh lamagica….italia was not so magica this time..but dont worry, your team is back to its infamous defensive way again, since offense is not in your DNA.
3-0 is that enough for you ; )

puyol was as amasing as his hair last night.machena wasnt going to let anything past him,he had that glazed nutjob look that we love so much.iniesta played a blinder as well.senna also is well up for it.quality right accross the board.im still about half pissed but for spells last night i thought i was watching brazil.

Lamagica,
Fortunately, there is a word which transcends many languages, including Italian, ur very native Sicilian and English, amongst others. I trust you are familiar with the term ‘paedophile’? Are you a child by chance? You really have a terrible grasp of the English language and the grammar is appalling. You have the logic of a 4 year old with the magnestism of Joey Deakin. Maybe it’s best if you write in French(after all, french is the second language of Canada ur hometown)- peut-etre c’est mieux si tu ecris en Francais, connard? Or maybe German? Sprechen sie Deutsch? Arschloch.

Spain will win against Germany! I just know it! They’ve made it this far and beat the world cup winners of last year! They can do it!

Elena,
I (German) am afraid that you are right.
Ahem.
But then again …

If only Julius Caesar hadn’t decided to conquer Gaul’s 800 cities in 7 years, you french would still be living in a cave washing your teeth with urine. Come to think of it, your breath is a little stinky…ofcourse, now a days, the Africans bring their own stench nto the country, else how can one justify the apes like Thurram, Makelele( his mom made a beauty–), Theirry henry( thick ape lipped niiggger), desailly( as a kid when desailly was playing, he was so ugly and frightening, i used to get afraidlooking at his face), and the new prized BULL GORILLA Gomis( boootliippNigggger)
Michel oliverm r u still eugolising the French??

Cesar, is there any way to block Porchetta from posting to the blog? I think we’ve all had about enough of this typing anus.

Porchetta what the hell is your problem?
Why are the admins letting this racist continue posting here????
He is clearly retarded and a racist.
Anyways…
Spain will beat Germany and finally kill the sayings that Spain is an underachieving team.
GO SPAIN

PS I think 4-5-1 would be better if Villa doesn’t play then the 4-4-2 that we have been using exept with Guiza.

Stop this anti-Italian porketta.
Why: He is feigning to be Italian and in this diguise produces the most appalling racist shit, in order to create a bad image of Italians !!!
I am convinced this is so !
This I say as a German.
Italiani, bury him with your posts!

porchetta has crossed the line–even for a bitter italian who has nothing to do but rant, as his squad sucks and is at home watching spain, with one of the best strikers on earth sitting on the bench because of an injury, put in 3 goals in the semifinals. anyhoo, i think we should start guiza. the 4-5-1 hasn’t really worked before, as torres needs a partner up front or he gets isolated by the defense. the us friendly proved that. however, cesc did look good as villa’s replacement. either way, we could switch tactics if one isn’t working.

porchetta will end his days repeating himself as a duracell dummy, amazing all the crap he’ll bring up only due to football pride, he spends more time convincing arguing darwinist theories and speaking about the game, which proves his knowledge in the subject. Tuscani, you know… we all were tadpoles once upon a time…..

and you are a freckled red head tuscani, not exactly what your nation would like to portray as an italian…..
