I know France did it the other way around, win the WC then win the EC, but I can't remember an instance where a EC winner went on to win the WC (perhaps a long time ago, when the competition was less fierce). You all kind of expect Spain to win this WC because they're on top, but it's hard to stay on top for that long and an EC win doesn't mean you're going to go on and win the WC. I don't want to rain on your parade, I just wanted to say don't get your hopes up too much, cause I remember when we won the EC in '88, we were so sure we were going to go on to win the WC in '90 and we sucked bigtime on that WC.
