Beckenbauer “Raul is the Key”

While I respect Beckenbauer, if for no other reason he is not Sepp Blater, I think he is over stating the importance of Raul. No team that makes it to the World Cup should ever be dependent on one player for their success. To be clear, Raul is a key part of the Spanish side but I don’t think he is the only key to a successful World Cup run.

My grandmother with no legs could finish some of the sublime passes that Xavi Alonso provides to his forwards. Spain has it’s weaknesses but lack of quality up front is not one of them.
