Deco Not Cleared To Play

The Brazilo-Portuguese midfielder once again sparked controversy in the blaugrana after the team’s medical staff did not clear him to play this weekend. The Portuguese international last played on October 20th against Villarreal when he was put on the shelf after suffering a hamstring injury.

He was scheduled to be out for five weeks and appears to have recovered based on all of the fitness test that were give to the player in th past few days. So much so was the player’s determination that he worked worked out in double sessions the past few weeks and in the last two off days.

During practice on Wednesday, he blew up with team doctor Ricard Pruna after the latter refused to clear him for this weekend’s match against Deportivo. Who said things were going to be fine and dandy in the Barca locker room right now?
