Fabregas & Raul to start for Spain

Spain coach Luis Aragones will start Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas and Real Madrid’s Raul, against France. The round of 16 game, played at Hanover (June 27th 9pm), will bring together Arsenal team mates, Fabregas, Reyes and Thierry Henry.

Aragones explained that with Fabregas and Raul, Spain will be able to control the midfield and therefore possession, a key to beating France. He also said denying Henry space to operate, is vital in order for Spain to win.

Fabregas replaces Brasilian born Marcos Senna, while Raul replaces Luis Garcia.
