How to spend less money when travelling in Germany

I don’t think this can be considered a good thing.

For instance, I am travelling to Germany this summer and plan on being in the stands for the Spain-Tunisia match in Stuttgart. The best combination of price and location I could find was a 99E hotel in Stuttgart — the exact same price as Spain’s hotel. The fact that Fernando Torres and I will have similar accomodations in June is baffling to me.
