Mikel Arteta for Spain?

Mikel Arteta has been having a great year at Everton. The 23-year-old midfielder has been a consitent presence in Everton’s team after joining the English side following stints at Rangers and Real Sociedad. Unfortunately for the playmaker, he is caught in a bit of a numbers game. Spain have too many midfield players who play a similiar style as he does and because he has never been called up for national team duties it is unlikely that he will get a spot in Germany. Still, this is one player we all should keep an eye on, especially for Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup.
