Patience is a virtue

April 11th, 2006 | By: Ian | No Comments »

Not a whole lot of interesting news coming out of Madrid yesterday. Thirty-three players met for a get-together in Spain. Actually, only 30 — Jose Antonio Reyes, Cesc Fabregas and Ivan De La Pena were all excused.

Luis Aragones preached patience and positive thinking to his players. It is nice to see a few of the players believing they can actually win the World Cup. In the past, I’ve seen quotes from the players who say it would be a success to reach the quarterfinals (where they could potentially meet Brazil). Why play if you feel you can’t beat Brazil? Anything can happen.
