I admit Raul is experiencing the leanest goal-scoring form in his pofessional career. What would rankle Coach Aragones is the exceptional record as a goal scorer that Raul has in the Champions League for Real Madrid. It would be controversial to drop the striker even though he is returning from injury and struggling for form.It looks Aragones is bound to carry Raul on his Ship , sail or sink. Torres,Villa and Reyes would have their work cut out if the veteran Raul fails to live up to expectations.

You should be calling for Fernando Torres’s head not Raul’s. Have you forgotten that Raul suffered A MASSIVE knee injury in November? Before that he was in fine form for Real Madrid 5 goals in 11 matches and 3 goals in 5 CL matches. He opted not to have surgery on his knee so he could be available in June for the World Cup… he is slowly getting back to form… the fact that he beat two defenders on that run is a good sign. Also if you bother reading the Spanish MEdia he has been doing well in Practice… The thing about Raul is he does so much more than score… he links up play between the midfield and the forwards… Maybe if Aragones didn’t field him all the time with Fernando Torres (they have no chemistry together btw) and brought in buddy Fernando Morientes we’d see him play alot better for now… it should be Villa and Raul starting and Torres on the bench.

I agree Spain DID NEED MORIENTES… He was the missing key to Arial Attack.
Though Luis wants to use Fast play short passes 4-3-3 Attack that like the Barca Style.
I beleive they need to play abit more together using Perina and Ramos for Arial attack when doing Corners… they will be a very strong team with out Morrientes.

Torres just needs sink a few goals and he’ll be fine, Lets wait for Eygpt game I believe Torres and Villa will SHINE.. Gut feeling….
if Luis can get them playing the way he wants them to… I call it Barca Style! And Raul, well I believe you need him on the team but only after they score the first goal with out him, He doesn’t play well under pressure…

Raul will come thru, naysayers comment on his lack of finding the back of the goal since the 02-03 season. Hey people wake up! Raul played fabulously within a team concept at Madrid before all the primadonna signees and astronomical contracts. With all those big names on one team of course his goal count would go down. Raul is mucho Raul!
