Three goals, four minutes for Villa

April 23rd, 2006 | By: Ian | 4 Comments »

I think it’s time for David Villa to write a book entitled How to Guarantee You’ll See Playing Time in Germany.

Villa scored three goals in a four-minute span today for Valencia, which beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0. He got on the scoresheet first in the 82nd minute, again in the 84th and once more in the 87th.

The flurry of goals prevented Barcelona from winning the league title Sunday.

This summer, depending on the game situation, I think we will see Villa partner with Fernando Torres up front for Spain.

The question in Spain has all of a sudden become who will partner Villa up front. I really think it will be Raul despite the fact that he is struggling to get back to form after that serious knee injury. Fernando Torres is really the most overrated comodity in football and completley disappears when it comes to big games.

Luis Aragones will go with Raul for sure, although he is far away from his best game. Raul is the captain and has a lot of influence in the locker room. Hopefully, Villa and Torres will be up front but I see Raul and Torres more likely…

How bad does Raul have to play inoder to keep him out of the Spanish National team…. He is a complete Laugh… And Bassil Torres is by far not over rated… he keeps Atletico together plus all the big clubs want him for a reason… Noone wants Raul!!!
