Time for Raul to sit?

Raul is not worried about his recent struggles to work into Real Madrid’s first team, he says in a Reuters report.

Sure, the headline of this story says he’s optimistic about returning to form. But it seems he’s resigned his starting role for the Cup and is content to be a role player.

I’d expect David Villa and Fernando Torres to get the start in the first match, unless Raul makes some sort of drastic turnaround in the next few weeks. Hard to do that when you are currently so low on the depth chart at Real Madrid.
