What games did u watch?

First of all, Egypt weren't "playing a man down when the penalty was given." The penalty is what caused the red card, they were playing with all 11, the defender stopped the ball going in with his arm, they gave him a red card and brazil the obvious penalty.

Also, USA played better the first half, with only 10 men. Italy by no means dominated the game and the scoreline actually did Italy the favor.

Watch the games before you comment on them

Xabi Alonso injured Fabregas today during practice... Not sure how serious it is but from what I read Cesc is pretty pissed(he got injured by Xabi in the liverpool-Arsenal game earlier this year).....Cazorla picked up a knock too.

Hey, I like Spain as much as anyone (they're my favorite team in Europe, ancestry and all that), but I definitely wouldn't compare Egypt and United States as opposition to New freakin' Zealand. It was much easier for Spain to dominate than it was for Brazil and Italy.

I can't wait until June 24th, when Spain actually faces off against Group B team! Then we'll see where things stand. :D

It's great to see Torres grab a hat trick, after Villa got one last game. Both guys up top are so dangerous, it's great!

Are you sure you watched the USA-Italy game though? The US scored with a man down, granted by a bit of acting by Altidore, but they finished the half 1-0. USA had the better chances that first half. The defense was rough and physical, but before Rossi came in as a sub and breathed life into the azzurri, it certainly didn't look like Italy was "brushing aside" anybody. They were reduced to long shots precisely because they couldn't penetrate the US as much as they'd like, at least not until the end when the Yanks were tired from the extra running involved with 10v11 football.
